Bears' Jay Cutler, Eddie Royal Remain Sidelined In Practice

By Chris Emma--

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- The Bears' injury report remains lengthy, and quarterback Jay Cutler is no closer to suiting up for a Sunday.

Cutler remains the headliner for a list that includes 15 names. He has practiced just once since suffering the thumb sprain in Week 2, working in a limited role during the Wednesday practice ahead of Week 4. Cutler has been held out to allow proper healing for the thumb.

Barring a surprise, it will be Brian Hoyer starting Sunday in Indianapolis. The personnel in the offense is now in question, with receiver Eddie Royal missing practice again with a calf injury. Coach John Fox has declined to comment on the extent of the injury.

Meanwhile, receiver Alshon Jeffery was again listed as limited as he suffers from a knee ailment. Jeffery has been on the injury report the past two weeks, playing in both games.

The Bears were also missing running back Jeremy Langford (ankle), defensive lineman Eddie Goldman (ankle) and linebacker Leonard Floyd (calf) in practice Thursday. Tight end Zach Miller did return to practice, working in a limited role as he deals with a ribs injury.

Guard Josh Sitton (shoulder), defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard (shoulder), linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski (elbow), linebacker Danny Trevathan (thumb), edge rusher Willie Young (knee, elbow), cornerback Sherrick McManis (hamstring) and cornerback Tracy Porter (knee) were all limited in practice.

Kickoff between the Bears and the Colts comes at noon Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
