"The temperature's fine. It's probably the windiest game I've been to in a while," said Bob Bryk of Palatine.
Bryk of Palatine was tailgating with his neighbors.
"Some hot chocolate. We got some chili. We've got a couple of sub sandwiches. We might have a beer or two. We've got a little wind protection. We got the one grass spot on the lot," he said.
Bryk says the cold doesn't matter. He was going to go no matter what.
"I'm on a ticket... I'm here for someone that didn't show up. So I'm super-sub," he said.
As the propane hummed away, Bryk enjoyed the warmth with a bottle of peppermint schnapps nearby.
"We're comfortable right now. We expect it to be a little chillier by half-time, though," he said.
Bryk said he would be putting on two more layers of clothing.
