Bears DT Adams Sidelined In Walking Boot
(CBS) Bears defensive tackle Anthony Adams has been out with a calf injury since the weekend and Wednesday he was wearing a walking boot on his left foot to protect the injury.
Adams said the injury was not seriously, but a source told the Chicago Tribune that the tackle "will probably miss a few weeks."
Depth at defensive tackle is already an issue with second-round draft pick Stephen Paea nursing a right knee injury.
Adams was still listed as the No. 1 nose tackle on the Bears' first depth chart Wednesday, but it's likely Matt Toeaina will start in place of Adams in the Bears' preseason game against the Bills Saturday.
