Bears DE Young: 'Motor Everyone Plays With Is Crazy'
(CBS) New Bears defensive end Willie Young still looks back fondly at his four years with the Lions, but he's never quite seen scenes like he did at Chicago's training camp in Bourbonnais over the past couple of weeks, with thousands of fans coming out on a daily basis.
"I can't explain the motor each and every guy has, all the way through our first, second, third fourth group," Young said in an interview with Matt Spiegel and Matt Abbatacola on 670 The Score on Tuesday. "The motor everyone plays with is like crazy. I don't know if that has anything to do with the fans that show up every day in practice. I've never seen this many fans show up -- never. And the days that we had bad weather and had to adjust the schedule, I don't see how these guys found us still. We were on five different fields."
"Totally different" from Lions camp, Young added.
Young has high expectations for a revamped defense, in large part because he says there are so many players on the squad with something to prove.
"Each and every one of us has a high level of expectations for ourselves," Young said. "And it trickles down."
You can listen to the full interview below. Young also talks about whether the Lions' defense was dirty in past years and what the Bears' front four specializing in a pass rushing package should be nicknamed.
