Bears' Alshon Jeffery, Jermon Bushrod Return To Practice
By Chris Emma--
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- Led by quarterback Jay Cutler, the Bears' offense has gradually made strides this young season, generating two straight comeback wins completed in the final drive.
Cutler and his unit could get a big boost this week, with receiver Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod (shoulder) both practicing in a limited role. Bushrod cleared concussion protocol and is able to take the field. Jeffery, who has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury, remains uncertain but is making progress.
"If they're healthy, they play," Bears coach John Fox said. "If they're not, they won't."
Fox shared a long Bears injury report Wednesday, which also included receiver Eddie Royal (ankle), linebacker Shea McClellin (knee), defensive back Terrance Mitchell (hamstring) and safety Antrel Rolle (ankle) all missing practice. Additionally, receiver Josh Bellamy (groin), offensive lineman Patrick Omameh (ankle), defensive lineman Ego Ferguson (knee), defensive lineman Jeremiah Ratliff (ankle), defensive lineman Will Sutton (elbow) and linebacker Pernell McPhee (shoulder) were limited in practice.
The Bears (2-3) and Lions (0-5) kick off at noon on Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit.
