(CBS) The NFL Draft is back in Chicago for the second straight year, and what awaits will be another key weekend for Bears general manager Ryan Pace and his team.
Coming off a 6-10 season under the direction of first-year coach John Fox, the Bears still have a need for playmakers and are looking to bolster their depth. As the draft is held at Roosevelt University's Auditorium Theatre and Grant Park has once again taken the form of Draft Town, the Bears brain trust will be at Halas Hall making their big decisions.

12:35 p.m. -- The Bears chose Northern Iowa safety Deiondre' Hall at No. 127 overall, which was their third fourth-round selection.
12:25 p.m. -- Chicago selected Miami safety Deon Bush with its second fourth-round pick, at No. 124 overall.
11:57 a.m. -- The Bears moved up from No. 117 to No. 113 in the fourth round to select West Virginia linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, sending that N0. 117 pick and a sixth-rounder to the Rams.
Friday's buzz...
9:47 p.m. -- The Bears have made revamping the defensive front a priority, writes Dan Durkin.
8:57 p.m. -- The Bears drafted Florida defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard in the third round at No. 72 overall. He had 17.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks as a senior in 2015, when he was a third-team All-American.
8:06 p.m. -- The Bears selected Kansas State guard Cody Whitehair in the second round at No. 56 overall.
7:34 p.m. -- The Seahawks used the No. 49 pick acquired from the Bears to take Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed.
7:29 p.m. -- The Bears have traded back a second time, sending the No. 49 pick to the Seahawks. Chicago will receive Seattle's second-round pick at No. 56 and a fourth-rounder in No. 124.
6:57 p.m. -- With the No. 41 pick they acquired from the Bears, the Bills selected Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland.
6:52 p.m. -- The Bears have moved down eight slots from No. 41, trading with the Bills for the 49th pick. In return, Chicago also gains a fourth-rounder this season (No. 117) and a fourth-rounder in 2017.
9:39 a.m. -- There are still some high-profile prospects left on the board. Here's Dan Durkin's list of the best 15 available players ahead of the start of the second round.

11:14 p.m. -- Who should the Bears take in the second round come Friday evening? Chris Emma presents 10 possibilities.
11:09 p.m. -- Leonard Floyd fits the Bears' mold but comes with risk, writes Dan Durkin.
10:49 p.m. -- The Bears hold a firm belief in outside linebacker Leonard Floyd's future, writes Chris Emma.
10:03 p.m. -- Following Peyton Manning's retirement and Brock Osweiler's exit in free agency, the Broncos traded up to get Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch at No. 26.
9:46 p.m. -- Ole Miss receiver Laquon Treadwell, an area product who attended Crete-Monee, was selected by the Vikings at No. 23.
9:35 p.m. -- Bears GM Ryan Pace confirmed the team gave no consideration to drafting Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who experienced a free fall to No. 13 shortly after a video of him smoking a substance out of a gas mask on his Twitter account about 15 minutes before the draft started.
9:32 p.m. -- Leonard Floyd provides the "juice we need," Bears general manager Ryan Pace said of his first-round pick. "We wanted to be aggressive and ensure we got the guy we want," he added in explaining why the Bears moved up two spots.
9:01 p.m. -- New Bear Leonard Floyd chimed in on Twitter.
8:52 p.m. -- Leonard Floyd is the first linebacker the Bears have drafted in the first round since they selected Brian Urlacher in 2000.
8:41 p.m. -- Laremy Tunsil was finally drafted. It was the Dolphins and coach Adam Gase -- the Bears' offensive coordinator in 2015 -- who ended his free fall at No. 13.
8:16 p.m. -- The early opinion on the Bears taking Leonard Floyd at No. 9 was mixed, as ESPN analyst Mel Kiper said he'd need to be "coached up." Many analysts laud his athleticism but question his strength.
8:12 p.m. -- The Bears selected Georgia outside linebacker Leonard Floyd at No. 9.
8:09 p.m. -- The Bears have traded up from No. 11 to No. 9 and are on the clock.
8:07 p.m. -- After trading out of the top pick and back to No. 15, the Titans moved back up to No. 8, acquiring the pick from the Browns and taking Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin. The free fall continues for Ole Miss tackle Laremy Tunsil.
8:03 p.m. -- The video of Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil with a bong that was posted on his Twitter account about 15 minutes before the draft started -- what seems to be a bit of blackmail -- created quite the fall for a player once projected to be the top overall pick in the draft.
7:58 p.m. -- One of the top defensive players is off the board: Oregon defensive end DeForest Buckner went to the 49ers at No. 7. Many consider him a surefire contributor, and he has a high ceiling too. He was a second-team All-American and the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2015, when he had 10.5 sacks.
7:38 p.m. -- The one offensive skill player the Bears appeared to be considering at No. 11 is off the board. The Cowboys selected Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott at No. 4.
7:29 p.m. -- The intrigue has begun. After the Eagles took North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz with the second pick , the first surprise came when they Chargers selected Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa.
7:15 p.m. -- As expected, the Rams drafted Cal quarterback Jared Goff with the first pick. He's the fifth Cal quarterback to go in the first round and the first since Aaron Rodgers in 2005.
6:44 p.m. -- Multiple reports have the Browns looking to move back from their No. 8 pick. This will be one to follow.
5:46 p.m. -- The draft is set to start at 7 p.m. Teams have 10 minutes to make picks in the first round, and they historically use most of that time. The Bears sit at No. 11, a spot that was picked around 8:20 p.m. last year. So that's a reference point for when the Bears may go on the clock, give or take some time.
5:35 p.m. -- If the early buzz is any indication, there could be a "slew" of draft night deals, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

On Thursday, the quartet of Jeff Joniak, Tom Thayer, Patrick Mannelly and Dan Pompei will host a live draft show from 6-10 p.m. breaking down all the first-round selections. Following them, Nick Shepkowski and Greg Gabriel will do the same from 10 p.m. to midnight.
On Friday, the trio of Hub Arkush, James "Big Cat" Williams and Olin Kreutz will host draft show from 6-8 p.m. as the second and third rounds are held. Joe Ostrowski will follow from 8-11 p.m. with more analysis.
On Saturday, the duo of Arkush and Gabriel will host a draft show from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

The draft is being held at Roosevelt University's Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.
Round 1: Thursday, 7 p.m. (ESPN, NFL Network)
Rounds 2-3: Friday, 6 p.m. (ESPN, NFL Network)
Rounds 4-7: Saturday, 11 a.m. (ESPN, NFL Network)
Note: Teams have 10 minutes to make picks in the first round, seven minutes to make picks in the second round and five minutes to make picks in rounds three through six. Seventh-round and compensatory picks will have four minutes to be selected.
