Barber's Chair, Antique Pumps Stolen From Gas Station
LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (STMW) -- Three antique gas pumps and a chrome barber's chair base, which had been stored outside a Libertyville gas station for the past 20 years, were stolen last week.
Sometime early Wednesday, March 30, the three gas pumps, believed to be from the 1930s or 1940s, along with the chrome chair base with foot stool, were stolen from Jerry's Marathon at 125 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville, according to a police report.
The items had been stored outside in an unsecured area on the north side of the property for about 20 years, Libertyville police said.
The value of the items was unknown, but a web search for similar items found them selling for $1,000 or more depending on condition.
