Barber To Make Bears Debut
(CBS) Running back Marion Barber will make his debut for the Bears in Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Barber missed the first three games of the season with a calf injury after signing with the Bears as a free-agent during the off season
Wide receiver Johnny Knox will start ahead of Roy Williams for the second consecutive week.
Defensive end Corey Wootton will also make his season debut.
Major Wright will return at strong safety and Brandon Meriweather will start at free safety.
Wide receiver Earl Bennett (chest), offensive tackle Gabe Carimi (knee), tight end Matt Spaeth (calf) and safety Chris Harris (hamstring) are out with injuries. Other inactives for the Bears include quarterback Nathan Enderle, defensive tackle Stephen Paea and defensive end Mario Addison.
For the Panthers, cornerback Chris Gamble (concussion) is out, while offensive tackle Jeff Otah will start after struggling with a back injury.
