Bank Robbed Inside Jewel-Osco In Aurora
AURORA, Ill. (STMW) -- A west suburban bank inside a Jewel-Osco was robbed Saturday afternoon by a man in Chicago Blackhawks sweatshirt.
The robbery occurred at 4:10 p.m. at the TCF Bank branch inside Jewel-Osco at 1157 N. Eola Rd., according to Aurora police.
The suspect approached the counter, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash from the 21-year-old male teller, police said. The suspect ran out a vestibule on the south side of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is described as white, mid-20s, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 and 160-170 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a white and black bandana, sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt with a Blackhawks logo on the front, blue jeans, and gym shoes, police said.
No one was injured, police said.
