Ball St. Defeats DePaul In OT
(WSCR) - In an almost even game, the Blue Demons and Cardinals took the game into overtime. DePaul fell to Ball State by just two points before the end of overtime, losing 79-77.
CHICAGO (AP) Tyrae Robinson made a driving layup with 2.7 seconds remaining in overtime to give Ball State a 79-77victory over DePaul on Saturday night.
DePaul's Brandon Young had a chance to win the game as time expired, but his 3-point attempt missed.
Jarrod Jones had 17 points and Jesse Berry 15 for for the Cardinals (5-3).
Jones banked in a jumper to give Ball State a 77-75 lead with 50 seconds left in overtime, but Krys Faber answered for DePaul with a pair of free throws. On the Cardinals' next possession, Robinson, who finished with nine points, drove through the lane for the winner.
Young finished with 23 points and Mike Stovall 12 for the Blue Demons (3-6).
