Baby's Death Under Investigation In North Lawndale
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police want to know how an 18-month-old baby died this week in a graystone on the city's West Side.
Shemor Agre was found around 6 a.m. Thursday in the home in the 1200 block of South Spaulding Avenue in the North Lawndale neighborhood, police said.
Paramedics took Shemor to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation. Meanwhile, an autopsy was pending Thursday night, and no conclusions had been reached on the cause of the child's death.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services was not immediately available for comment.
