Baby Slain, Mother Critically Hurt In Apparent Murder-Suicide Attempt
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A baby boy was killed and his mother was critically wounded, in a stabbing police believe was a murder-suicide attempt.
Police said the boy and his mother were found stabbed in a room at the Diplomat Motel in the 5200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, around 10:30 a.m.
The boy, whose exact age was not immediately available, was pronounced dead. The mother was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious to critical condition.
Police suspect the mother stabbed her baby, then herself.
