Baby Born: Tillman Says Wife, Child 'Doing Well'
(CBS) There won't be any drama about Charles Tillman's playing status this week.
The Bears cornerback welcomed his fourth child -- a girl -- into the world Tuesday morning and told 670 The Score's Laurence Holmes that his wife and newborn were both doing well.
Tillman told his fans the same via Twitter.
There were worries Tillman would miss last week's game against the Texans after he told Holmes on his weekly radio show that he wouldn't be able to make it if the baby was born Sunday. Later in the week, Tillman calmed the storm by insisting he would make the game, adding that the baby was scheduled to be born Monday.
As a result of the baby being born Tuesday morning, Tillman will not make tonight's broadcast on 670 The Score. Laurence Holmes will still host his regular show tonight from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. live from Buffalo Wild Wings in Schaumburg.
