Attendance at the Auto Show has been up from the get-go – 18 percent the first weekend, and healthy attendance all week.
Auto Show chairman Kevin Mize said one reason is interactivity – the chance to ride or drive four different courses.
"We've got this construction site at Toyota, we've got this neat hill climbing – looks like a Rocky Mountain setting – at Jeep; this teeter-totter thing at Ford Explorer, which is very unusual; and then, of course, this park-like setting at the Chevy Volt, which is really unique – it's got flowers going, and trees," Mize said.
But it's not just fun. Mize says there has been a lot of interest in the seven electric plug-in cars and 27 hybrids on display.
