Auditions This Weekend For Two Big Musicals
(CBS) -- If your dream is to be a Broadway star, you could get your shot this weekend when two major musicals hold auditions in Chicago.
Casting directors for "The Lion King" and "Aladdin" will be in town tomorrow and Sunday, looking for singers, dancers and children to be in future casts, both on Broadway and in touring productions.
Mark Brandon, who's auditioning performers for "The Lion King," says especially for children, you don't need formal training.
"We don't really cast kids that have a musical theater background or have done shows," he said. "We really cast kids that are more natural and have a great personality."
"The Lion King," comes to Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theater next month but these auditions are for future productions. You can find more information here.
