Auction Of Jordan Mansion Postponed To Dec. 16
HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (AP) -- Michael Jordan's sprawling suburban Chicago home won't be auctioned off just yet after all.
In a news release, Concierge Auctions says the auction of the seven-acre estate in Highland Park that was scheduled to take place Friday will now be held Dec. 16 because the interest was stronger than anticipated and some bidders asked for more time to visit the property.
The former Chicago Bulls star's home includes a gentleman's retreat, nine bedrooms, a pool pavilion and an indoor basketball court. The gentleman's retreat comes complete with a billiard parlor, fireplace, library, a full wet bar and the original doors from the Playboy Mansion in Chicago.
Jordan's home was originally listed at $29 million in early 2012.
Jordan now owns the Charlotte Bobcats.
