Attitude Has Led To Wilson's Success
Mark Wilson is an Elmhurst native and might be the fastest rising golfer in the world right now.
In his first 216 career events he only had two victories. But in 2011 he's won two of his first three events, and that's not the result of a drastic change.
"I've been telling people for so many years that it's a fine line, really, between missing cuts and winning golf tournaments," Wilson said on the Boers and Bernstein Show.

Wilson is currently leading the FedEx Cup points race, and he wouldn't be where he is if he didn't catch a few breaks on the course this year.
"For me, yeah there's been a few break that went my way at both Sony and Waste Management Open," Wilson said. "A few more 20-footers went in that week. I mean if you add up two or three shots per round, that's up to 12 shots in a tournament. And that's the difference between finishing 60th and winning."
But you don't get those little breaks all by luck. As most golfers would attest to, the better attitude you have the better your swing. Frustration and anger on the course only leads to bigger mistakes.
"My attitude has just been a lot better," Wilson said of his 2011 season so far. "I've been a lot calmer and I'm turning those bad tee shots into pars and birdies, instead of bogeys and doubles like what I did last year. And that's really the difference."
