ATF, Joliet Fire Department Investigating House Explosion
JOLIET, Ill. (CBS) -- Local and federal investigators were in Joliet on Tuesday, trying to determine what caused a house to explode in flames Monday afternoon.
WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports no one was injured when the blast occurred in the 700 block of Lambeth Lane in Joliet around 2 p.m. Monday. The house was engulfed in flames, and the fire burned for about two hours before it was put out.
"It was boom! Boom! Boom! I felt the house shake," said neighbor Kelly Forrest, who works out of her home next door to the one that blew up.

Forrest said she ran to see what was going on after hearing the blasts.
"I looked out my front door, and I saw a couch here, and I couldn't figure out why," she said. Forrest soon realized the explosions sent the couch flying onto her front lawn.
Investigators from the Joliet Fire Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were at the site Tuesday morning, trying to determine what caused the explosions.
"This is a little unique situation, a house explosion. We don't have these very often, so ATF was called to the scene," Fire Chief Joe Formhals said.
A natural gas leak is suspected, but investigators have not confirmed that.
