At Least 5 Wounded In City Shootings
CHICAGO (STMW) - At least five people were wounded early Saturday in apparently unrelated shootings throughout the city.
Two men were critically wounded about 12:05 a.m. in a shooting in the 6700 block of South Evans Avenue, police said.
A 21-year-old man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back and a 20-year-old man was taken to University of Chicago Hospitals with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
At 1:27 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 4000 block of South Ellis Avenue, police said. He was taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
About three minutes later, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg in the 5300 block of West Lake Street, police said. He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
About 3:30 a.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 2900 block of West Wilcox Street, police said. He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
Nobody is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
