Aschburner: Bulls Give Howard Chance To Win Quickly, Repeatedly

All the dynasty teams in NBA history had a solid one-two punch. So who will be Derrick Rose's counterpart?
Dwight Howard wants out of Orlando, but he's made it clear he doesn't want to play in Chicago -- a decision that has raised serious questions within one NBA expert.
"The fact that he doesn't want to be here tells me something about him," Steve Aschburner of NBA.com told The Mully and Hanley Show. "This would be one of his very best chances to win quickly and win repeatedly playing with Derrick Rose. It makes me wonder if Dwight Howard wants to sit on Jay Leno's couch more than he wants to hold the Larry O'Brien trophy. Beyond that, if you have a center in the low post that needs to be fed, is that going to interfere with Derrick Rose and his space to get to the rim? There are reservations."

Aschburner said Howard's reluctance to play in Chicago might actually be a blessing for the Bulls.
"The game these days is not really suited to a dominant center, even if you're the only one," he said. "Now, there's something to be said for having that guy if no one else has him, but if you have to tear up your team to get him, that's a concern. If he doesn't want to be here, then that's not going to happen."
