Arrest Warrant Issued In Manteno Warehouse Shooting
MANTENO, Ill. (CBS) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for the man suspected of shooting a co-worker at a warehouse in far south suburban Manteno.
Kankakee County Sheriff's police said the suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Rene Flores, of 679-A 2000 South Road in rural Kankakee.
Flores allegedly shot a co-worker at a Mars candy warehouse at 1125 W. Sycamore Rd. in Manteno shortly before 2 p.m. on Wendesday, then fled the scene.
Police with the Kankakee County Sheriff's Office and the Kankakee County Major Crimes Task Force, as well as the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force have been conducting a manhunt for Flores since the shooting.
Flores is described as a 5-foot-9, 190 pound Hispanic man. He was last seen wearing all black clothing, with a black baseball cap. Police said he fled the shooting in a black 2010 Chrysler 3000 with tinted windows, and Illinois license plate L699896.
Kankakee County Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Flores' arrest. Anyone with information should call 815-93-CRIME (815-932-7463), and all callers remain anonymous.
