Armed Robberies Reported In Chinatown, Bridgeport
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are warning residents about a series of armed robberies reported last month in the Chinatown and Bridgeport neighborhoods on the South Side.
In each incident, one or more armed men wearing masks have approached victims and demanded their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.
The robberies occurred:
• In the 2600 block of South Princeton in the late evening hours of Nov. 14;
• in the 2300 block of South Princeton in the evening hours of Nov. 18;
• in the 2200 block of South Princeton in the early morning of Nov. 20;
• in the 2800 block of South LaSalle in the evening hours of Nov. 23; and
• in the 200 block of West 24th in the evening of Nov. 23.
The suspects were described as black men between 18 and 26 years old, standing 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-11 and weighing 150-160 pounds with dreadlocks or mohawk hairstyles, police said.
