Armed Man Robs Naperville Hotel

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (STMW) - An armed man allegedly robbed a hotel in west suburban Naperville early Saturday.

Naperville police were dispatched to the Days Inn Hotel at 1350 E. Ogden Ave. about 1:45 a.m. to respond to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred, according to a release from the Naperville Police Department.

A clerk told police the suspect entered the hotel, displayed a small caliber semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash, according to the release. The suspect fled south on foot through the hotel parking lot after the clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash, the release said.

No one was injured.

The alleged armed robber is described as a white man in his mid-20s, 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, with a scruffy and was last seen wearing a dark coat, dark sunglasses and a knit hat, the release said.

The Naperville Police Department is investigating.
