Arkush: 'Players Got Their Butts Handed To Them'
CHICAGO (WSCR) All signs point to the NFL lockout ending soon, which means it's time to start analyzing whether the players or the owners won the negotiations.
670 The Score host and Pro Football Weekly Publisher Hub Arkush thinks the winner is quite obvious.
"It certainly appears that the players got their butts handed to them," he said on The Boers and Bernstein Show. "But I think the thing we have to be careful about is that's just the negotiating part. That doesn't mean that two or three years from now this still won't be a very good deal for the players, because there is so much money in play here, they may do just fine."

It reports are to be believed, the players are accepting what the owners put on the table back in March, which means this all could have been settled a long time ago.
"I feel bad for the players because I don't think they were well represented in this," Arkush said. "I continue to get reports that a lot of them still don't really know what is going on and I think they could have done better."
Still, he doesn't neccessarily think the players will be in trouble for accepting the agreement on the table.
"There's so much money involved here that I think a couple years from now everybody is going to feel fine about it. And we all know the rich get richer and that's what's going to happen here," he said.
As for when Arkush thinks the deal will finally be completed?
"It's going to get done and I think you are going to see the league start a week from Monday, which is the 25th," he said.
