Application Deadline For Ill. Flood Aid Is Nov. 17
CHICAGO (AP) - Federal officials have extended the deadline for Illinoisans affected by flooding this summer to apply for disaster assistance.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has pushed the deadline for applications to Nov. 17.
FEMA has approved more than $260 million in disaster assistance for individuals. More than $30 million in loans have been approved for small businesses.
Carroll, Cook, DuPage, Jo Daviess, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties had major flooding from July 22 through Aug. 7.
A federal disaster declaration means the counties are eligible for funds to help residents and municipalities to recover.
Grants can be used for temporary housing and home repair and low-cost loans.
