CHICAGO (CBS)—CBS News Chicago cameras caught apparent thieves during a smash-and-grab burglary in the Douglass neighborhood.

CBS Chicago crews called police after seeing at least three people walk out of a Foot Locker store with stacks of shoe boxes and other merchandise.

Chicago police confirmed a group crashed a Jeep into the store in the 3300 block of South Martin Luther King Drive around 6:40 a.m. Police said the suspects who crashed into the store stole merchandise and then additional people from the area went in after them.

Police said they're looking for fingerprints or any evidence inside the Jeep.

Chicago police said the same Jeep was involved in another burglary about an hour earlier, just over two miles south of the Foot Locker.

CPD said a group of suspects in two separate SUVs removed a security gate outside a Bronzeville boutique near 47th Street and Indiana Avenue.

"I'm not surprised because that's the way the trend is going on," The Bronzeville boutique owner Syed Gilani told CBS Chicago. "But I'm really upset because, you know, like business... you gather all this inventory for a long period of time. It's not like in one night.

He said, "everything is gone."

No arrests have been made.
