Anti-Gun Rally Held Outside Chicago Walmart
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Residents of the Austin neighborhood say they are touched by violence every day and on this Gun Appreciation Day, they held a counter rally in front of a North Avenue Walmart.
"We are here to call out Walmart. Walmart is the nation's largest sellers of guns. We are here to tell Walmart today to support the anti gun legislation that has been introduced by the White House," said Elsie Redman with the South Austin Coalition.
He says the retailer which is the nation's largest seller of guns should set the example.

Chicago prohibits the sale of firearms within city limits so this particular Walmart doesn't sell fireams, but Redman says Walmart should support the President's anti-gun initiatives.
The rally was in coordination with National Day of Service and Gun Appreciation Day.
