Another Winter Storm Possible This Weekend

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Weekend holiday shopping and travel plans could be impacted by a potentially big winter storm, forecasters warned on Tuesday.
The exact timing of the storm, and whether it will be snow, rain, ice or a combination of all three, is unclear.
CBS 2's Ed Curran reports the current track calls for the storm to hit Saturday night and continue into Sunday morning.
CBS 2's Megan Glaros reports that the rain/snow line is expected right over Chicago. Right now, some models are calling for up to three inches of rain, while others predict 6 to 12 inches of snow.
That is all subject to change in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The Chicago office of the National Weather Service issued an update about a "potentially big storm" via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
This latest advisory comes on the heels of a storm this past weekend that dumped as much as six or seven inches of snow in parts of Northwest Indiana, with lesser amounts around Chicago.
This winter season his already shaping up to be much snowier and colder than last year when the area didn't really see much measurable snow until February.
