Another UIC Student Robbed Near Campus
CHICAGO (CBS) -- University of Illinois at Chicago campus police say another student has been robbed near the school's campus – for the second time in less than a week.
As WBBM Newsradio's David Roe reports, in the latest case just after 3 a.m. Sunday, the student was walking on the 1000 block of South Loomis Street – just south of Taylor Street – when a group of five men came up and asked to borrow money.

When the victim said he didn't have any money, one of the men put a gun to his head and demanded his wallet.
The robbers took the man's wallet and iPhone, then took off.
The latest incident comes on the heels of another robbery on Tuesday of last week. In that incident, the student was off campus and walking in the 400 block of South Green Street on the edge of Greektown between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
He was approached from behind by an unseen of offender, who placed something against the back of his head and demanded money.
The student handed over his wallet, but the robber hit him in the head, anyway, and he passed out, the alert said.
It is not clear how long the student was unconscious on the sidewalk, but when he came to, he realized he had been struck.
He made his way to nearby Rush University Medical Center, where he was treated for a head injury, and interviewed by UIC and Chicago Police.
In the wake of the robberies, campus police are urging students to walk in groups and have emergency numbers already dialed into their cell phones.
