Angelo On Harris: 'You Can't Please Everyone'
(CBS) Jerry Angelo isn't in the people-pleasing business.
When he pulls the trigger on a trade, he does it for one reason: to make his football team better.
So when Chris Harris asked to be traded from the Bears after his benching Sunday, Angelo looked at the situation through the same lens.
"It's a case-by-case deal," Angelo told ChicagoBears.com. "The needs of our team and what's best for our team is where it starts and ends with me. When a player requests a trade, I ask why and will usually give him my thoughts. I learned long ago you can't please everyone. Ultimately, we do what's in the best interest of the team and I make sure they understand that. In some cases it does serve the team and player, and a trade is made. I want all of our players to have a great experience as a Chicago Bear. But in the end, it's about the Chicago Bears."
