Alvarez Will Seek Another Term As State's Attorney
CHICAGO (AP) –- The top prosecutor in Cook County will seek another term.
Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez said Friday morning on WLS-AM radio that there's still a lot to do.
She says her office is "excited about some new laws that we've been working on." Alvarez was first elected to the job in 2008.
Alvarez's office has nearly 860 attorneys and 1,560 employees. It's one of the largest state's attorneys' offices in the country. Its annual budget is about $123 million annually.
