Alshon Jeffery Named To Pro Bowl
(CBS) Alshon Jeffery's breakout second season didn't go unnoticed.
The Bears wide receiver will replace Calvin Johnson in the Pro Bowl, the team announced Thursday.
"Just being from where I came from to where I am now, what I'm doing…it's just special to be part of the success we're having as a team," Jeffery said. "I want to thank my Mama and my family. I'm going to continue to make you all proud."
Jeffery, 23, had 89 receptions and seven touchdown catches in his sophomore year in the NFL, ranking 10th in the league in receptions.
He joins wide receiver Brandon Marshall and running back Matt Forte, who aslo received Pro Bowl nominations last month.
