Alshon Jeffery Active For Bears While D.J. Moore Sits
By Adam Hoge-
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) As expected, Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is active Monday night against the 49ers after missing four straight games with a hand injury.
Among the Bears' inactives, only cornerback D.J. Moore is a surprise. He gradually lost his nickelback spot in recent weeks to Kelvin Hayden and apparently now has fallen completely out of favor. It will be interesting to see if this is a motivational ploy similar to the one the coaches used on cornerback Tim Jennings late last season.
Also inactive for the Bears: QB Jay Cutler, WR Dane Sanzenbacher, G/C Edwin Williams, DT Matt Toeaina, DE Cheta Ozougwu and DE Shea McClellin.
With McClellin out with a concussion, Amobi Okoye dresses for the first time in four games.
As for the 49ers, quarterback Alex Smith is inactive. Like Cutler, Smith suffered a concussion last week and is unable to go. Colin Kaepernick will get his first career start tonight with Scott Tolzien serving as the backup quarterback.
Also inactive for the 49ers: WR A.J. Jenkins, RB LaMichael James, S Trenton Robinson, RB Brandon Jacobs, G Joe Looney and NT Ian Williams.
