The other aldermen who have signed on are George Cardenas (12th), Edward Burke (14th), Ariel Reboyras (30th) and Ray Suarez (31st), the Chicago Sun-Times' Fran Spielman reported.
The aldermen would especially like to honor the Navy SEALs Team Six that carried out the mission, although it would be unlikely that unit would be able to take part, since their identities are rarely revealed.
The aldermen's proposal also calls on Chicago to present the city's Medal of Merit to CIA director Leon Panetta, and to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Spielman reported.
