Albany Park Man Charged With Sexual Assault
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A North Side Albany Park neighborhood man was charged in connection with the sexual assault of an underage girl on the Northwest Side last Sunday.
Edwin Hernandez, 30, of the 4600 block of North Lawndale Avenue has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault and home invasion/sex offense, police said.
Sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on June 16, an unknown male climbed through a window of the girl's home in the 4800 block of North Ridgeway Avenue and sexually assaulted her while she was asleep in her bed, according to an alert issued by police.
Hernandez is scheduled to appear Sunday in bond court.
