Aikman: Bears Can Change Perception With Win
It seems as if the Bears are never seriously considered as a playoff contender. Every year the team plays with a chip on their shoulder, especially on defense. But at 7-3 and in first place in the division, do the Bears still feel that they have more to prove?
"I don't think that they necessarily have to prove anything to themselves, they don't have to prove anything to anyone for that matter," Troy Aikman said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "A win this week would certainly, I don't want to say validate them, but it would change opinion of how they're perceived."

"The Bears are kind of a team, even when they went to the Super Bowl, that nobody really wants to look at and say 'wow this team really is something.' And there are always concerns, but that's true around the league."
But eventually there comes a point when people around the league have to stop and take notice to what the Bears are doing. And Aikman thinks that that we've a;ready reached that point."
"In my opinion right now, when you've reached 10 games and you have the record that they have, they're having a pretty good year and I think its time to acknowledge that and the Bears are right in the hunt."
