After Hawks Win, Vandals Go On Rampage In Lincoln Park

Police had a good handle on crowd control near Wrigley Field, where thousands of fans celebrated, mostly without incident.

Farther south, however, several people broke away from the crowd near Diversey and smashed several windows near the 2700 block of Clark Street.
Windows were smashed at several locations, including the Hair Cuttery, WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller reports.
Ald. Michele Smith's office says 31 businesses were damaged by Blackhawks revelers.
Images posted by the Crime In Boystown blog, show windows destroyed at a Starbucks, the New Balance running store, the Homemade Pizza, the Smoke Shop and several other stores.
The vandals struck in an area along Clark from Drummond Place to Fullerton.
A total of 23 people were arrested across the city, mostly for disorderly conduct.
It was unclear whether anybody was arrested in connection with the vandalism.
