After 14 Years Together, Chicago Couple First To Wed In 2015
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The first couple to get a marriage license in Cook County in 2015 waited 14 years to seal the deal.
Brenda Bravo and Jose Castro lined up at the Cook County Clerk's office downtown at 5 a.m. Friday, to make sure they were the first to get a marriage license when the office opened at 9 a.m. As the first to get a license, they got a free wedding ceremony conducted by Clerk David Orr.
Those four hours of waiting were nothing compared to how long it took them to make the big leap to marriage, after 14 years as a couple.
"I don't want to say it's a mistake, but I really wish I would have did it way earlier, because we're the example to the kids," Castro said. "We've got to lead by example."

They already have two children together, Ariel and "Little T."
Now that they're officially married, they plan to take it easy.
Bravo said they'll spend a laid-back evening together for their first night as husband and wife.
"Probably a short dinner, just with our immediate family, and then we'll have our reception in a few months with all our close family and friends," she said.
Orr traditionally provides a wedding ceremony for the first couple to get a marriage license in Cook County every year.
The first couple also gets a few goodies: a complimentary bouquet, and gift certificates for dinner and two nights at a hotel.
