Adjustments Have Improved Offensive Line
The Bears' offensive line was taking a great deal of criticism in the early part of the season. They gave up an NFL-record number of sacks in the first half against the Giants, but have slowly improved.
"I think the whole offensive staff has done a wonderful job with the adjustments since the break," former Bears' offensive lineman, Keith Van Horne said on the Danny Mac Show. "The starting line has been together, what five games now? So that's a big plus to get some continuity."

Mike Tice was brought in over the off-season as the Bears' offensive line coach. Tice is considered one of the best offensive line coaches in football, and has had his hands full this season.
"He's done a real good job," Van Horne said. "[The offensive line] still needs some work. We've seen that there's some penetration on the runs and they still give up some pressure on the quarterback."
But It hasn't just been Tice who has worked to improve the line. Offensive coordinator, Mike Martz has moved away from his pass happy offense and gone with a balanced attack. The new philosophy has the Bears running the ball more than they did in the early stages of the season.
"Martz has made the adjustments on his play calling, which really helps them out a lot," Van Horne said. "So I think it's a total team effort in terms of what they've done to adjust. And they've done a really good job."
