Adams On PSU Allegations: 'Heartbreaking'
(WSCR) If anybody knows of the intricacies attached to the so-called "Penn State Way" it's Bears defensive tackle Anthony Adams.
Adams, who spent four years in Happy Valley under head coach Joe Paterno and one year under defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, reflected on his time at Penn State on Wednesday, calling the allegations "shocking."
"It was a complete shocker," Adams said. "(It pains me) a lot. I put a lot of pride in my school and the coaching staff that was there. For this to go on, it's heartbreaking.
"When I was there, coach Paterno was a great man. Coach Sandusky was the same -- a first-class organization."

The allegations that Sandusky used his position of trust and authority to sexually abuse eight young boys over a 15 -year period have shaken Penn State to it's very core, but Adam said he had no idea Sandusky would have been capable of something like this.
"The man I knew was very respectful," Adams said. "He did everything the Penn State way. I don't know what's going on now, but when he was coaching there, he was always very respectful, very professional. (He was) just somebody that's a role model. I don't know what's going on now, but like I keep saying, it's heartbreaking."
