According to Reports Roy Oswalt Will Be Traded to the Phillies
According to several reports, including one from C. Trent Rosencrans of CBSSports.com Roy Oswalt has been traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. According to Rosencrans, the only bridge that still needs to be crossed is Oswalt's official OK of the deal. Because Oswalt has a no-trade clause, he must approve of a trade and waive the clause for any deal to be completed.
Rosencrans sites a FOX Sports report that indicates that both the Phillies and Astros have agreed on both players and salary responsibilities to be exchanged. This is just one in a recent line of trades the Phillies have made for elite starting pitchers. Previous deals have brought the Phillies Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay; although, Lee was traded this offseason to the Seattle Mariners and is now with the Texas Rangers.
