Abbatacola: Cubs Rally To Win In The 10th
By Matt Abbatacola-
CHICAGO (CBS) The Cubs rallied from an early 3-run decifit to beat Milwaukee in the 10th inning 5 to 4.
Tony Campana led-off the 10th with a double. Kosuke Fukudome bunted Campana to third and Starlin Castro drove a ball to deep right-center field to win the game. It was the Cubs second win over Milwaukee in as many games. The Cubs will try for 3 in a row Wednesday night - something they haven't done yet this season.
Randy Wells wasn't sharp, but did give his club a quality start. He threw 95 pitches over six innings giving up eight hits and allowing 3 runs - only two were earned.
The Cubs defense was sloppy as they committed three throwing errors - one each by Castro, Wells, and Jeff Baker.
Aramis Ramirez and Geovany Soto each hit their fifth home runs of the season.
Darwin Barney was not in the lineup. He hurt his knee sliding into home in Monday night's game. He was available for the game according to Mike Quade.
