The school bus, which was southbound on Granart, somehow left the road, hit a drainage ditch and was left flipped over on its side in a field along side the road.
All nine students, who were wearing seat belts, as well as the bus driver, were taken to area hospitals. The children, including six with special needs, were en route to Krejci Academy and Mansion High School in Naperville.
None of the injuries appear to be life threatening, according to the sheriff's office.
Big Rock is located west of Sugar Grove in southwestern Kane County.
