Chico Releases 3 Years Of Tax Returns
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- In the race for Chicago mayor, the Chicago Tribune reports contender Gery Chico has released three years of income tax returns.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bob Conway reports, Chicago, an attorney, and his wife, a consultant, made more than $2.5 million in 2009.

Most of the earnings came from Chico's law firm, Chicago & Nunes, P.C., which represents clients trying to secure City Hall contracts.
The couple's income for the prior two years totaled about $4.1 million.
Chico tells the Tribune that if he is elected mayor, he would cut ties with the law firm but would not ask the firm to give up its City Hall lobbying.
The returns also show federal taxes paid for the most recent two years of nearly two million dollars and charitable contributions of about $300-thousand for the entire three year period.
Chico previously served as president of the Chicago School Board, later as president of the Chicago Park District board of commissioners, and finally as president of the City Colleges of Chicago board of trustees. He also served as Mayor Richard M. Daley's chief of staff from 1992 to 1995.
Chico is up against Rahm Emanuel, Carol Moseley Braun, state Sen. Rev. James Meeks, city Clerk Miguel del Valle, and U.S. Rep. Danny Davis, among a handful of others, in the race for mayor.
