8 Injured In CTA Bus Crash On Near West Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Eight people suffered minor injuries Wednesday night on the Near West Side when a car allegedly made an illegal turn in front of an oncoming CTA bus.
The accident occurred at Madison Street and Western Avenue.
CTA spokesman Brian Steele said the car passed the bus and tried to make a right turn as the bus pulled away from the curb. Steele said there was minor damage to both vehicles.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Joe Roccasalva said the eight had minor bumps and bruises and were transported to nearby hospitals in good condition.
