7-Year-Old Boy Shot In Head In Gary
GARY, Ind. (CBS) -- A 7-year-old boy was shot in the head inside his Gary home early Sunday morning and a man at the home was also shot in the groin.
The boy was shot in the head shortly after midnight at 1006 Durbin Av. in Gary, police said. It appeared the shots were fired from a sidewalk across the street from the home.
A 35-year-old man was also shot in the groin inside the home.
The boy was taken bay ambulance to Northlake Methodist Hospital in Gary. He was later airlifted to University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Gary police were investing. Further details were not immediately available.
