5 Wounded In South Shore Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Five people were hospitalized -- four in critical condition -- after a reported shooting Monday evening in the South Shore neighborhood.
Paramedics responded at 5:55 p.m. to East 75th Street and South Exchange Avenue and took five people to area hospitals, according to Fire Media Affairs.
All five are reportedly gunshot victims.
Four people were hospitalized in critical condition, the fire department said. Two were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County and two others were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
One person was taken in good to fair condition to South Shore Hospital, the fire department said.
Police could not immediately provide further details.
