5 Wounded In Broad Daylight Shootings Across City
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Five people were injured in a rash of shootings Wednesday, all of which happened in broad daylight.
As WBBM Newsradio 780's Michele Fiore reports, the shootings struck neighborhoods across the city, from Rogers Park on the North Side to Calumet Heights on the South, North Lawndale and South Austin on the West Side and Marquette Park on the Southwest.

The earliest reported shooting happened at 3:35 p.m. in the 100 block of North Latrobe Avenue. A 25-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
At 7:15 p.m., a teenage boy was shot and wounded in the 7100 block of South California Avenue. He was also shot in the buttocks, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
Two boys, both 15, were next wounded at 7:48 p.m. in the 6600 block of North Newgard Avenue. The boys were near an alley adjacent to the street with its stately old Victorian houses, when suspects in a blue car shouted gang slogans at them and opened fire, police said.
They each suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and were listed in good condition at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
The man was shot in the shoulder and right thigh and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
No one was in custody in any of the shootings as of Thursday morning.
