5 Seriously Injured In Palos Hills Crash
PALOS HILLS, Ill. (STMW) -- Five people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in southwest suburban Palos Hills.
The crash happened about 5:45 a.m. on the exit ramp from the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) to South 76th Avenue, according to North Palos Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Chris Perry.
The vehicle struck part of the concrete embankment, Perry said.
Five people were seriously injured, Perry said. One woman in the front passenger seat needed to be extricated from the vehicle.
All five people were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Perry said.
An EMS Plan 1, which automatically sends five ambulances to the scene, was called for the crash, according to Perry, who said it was secured a short time later.
