5 Injured In Crash On I-57
CHICAGO (CBS) -- All lanes on Interstate 57 were back open in time for the morning rush Monday, after a crash left five people injured overnight.
The crash happened in the outbound lanes of I-57 at 111th Street. Illinois State Police were notified around 1:30 a.m.
The driver lost control of a vehicle in the southbound lanes and veered off the road, before hitting several trees and a light pole. Three people were ejected from the vehicle.
Five people were hospitalized – one in serious condition, two in fair condition, and two in good condition, according to Fire Media Affairs.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation Monday morning.
